N. Wood Counter Laboratory, Inc. offers an almost unlimited selection of BF3 proportional neutron counters, GM counters, long life proportional gamma counters and flow counters.
The company was founded in 1949 by Nancy F. Wood for the purpose of supplying gas-filled neutron and gamma counters to universities and research laboratories then engaged in the development of atomic energy. The N. Wood Counter Laboratory continues to supply specially designed counters to research centers and to manufacturers of radiation equipment all over the world.
The consistently excellent characteristics of N. Wood detectors are due to the extreme care used in construction, the selection of insulators, the purification of gases, and the filling procedures. The care used in the manufacturing process assures the customer that a particular type of detector can be reproduced throughout the life of the project. Detectors made for calibrated equipment perform within specified tolerances and are interchangeable.

The customer may specify dimensions, cathode material, filling pressure, type of cap, connector, insulator and should specify temperature and voltage requirements. For certain applications, the customer may specify high voltage leads at both ends with protective caps.
